The International Volunteer Day is celebrated every year on December 5. Established by the UN in 1985, this day highlights the essential contribution of volunteers to economic and social development and encourages civic engagement.
- Objective: To recognize and celebrate the commitment of millions of volunteers around the world.
- Action: Promote volunteerism and thank people who give their time, energy and skills.
- Significance: It highlights the role of volunteers in promoting peace, solidarity and sustainable development
