The general meetings


Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The annual general meeting is a time for active members and the work team to be together and present the various activities, services, financial results, and successes. The annual general meeting also has the role of:

  • Ratify proposed amendments to the by-laws or letters patent (in A.G.S. only for letters patent).
  • Appoint the financial auditor.
  • Adopt the minutes of the previous annual or special general meeting.
  • Receive the activity report.
  • Receive the financial report for the past year.
  • Elect the members of the Board of Directors.
  • Be informed, consulted and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on the organization's orientations for the coming year.

 

Special General Meetings (SGA)

The Board of directors may also convene a special general meeting for active members, on the subject or subjects it determines at the date, time and place fixed by the latter. It serves to deal with an urgent issue of major importance to the organization.
